The Principle of 3 Chip 4K Camera




3 Chip Native 4K Sensor 

Each sensor supports a resolution of 3840*2160px, with a total pixel count exceeding 24 million. After precise light splitting by a prism, the red, green, and blue light beams each reach their dedicated 4K photosensitive chips. The signals are read out in parallel without Bayer interpolation, directly outputting fully sampled 4K RAW data. The chroma bandwidth is increased by 2.4 times, ensuring smooth color transitions without aliasing. Theoretically, it supports up to 12bit wide color gamut, and the color space supports BT.709 and BT.2020 for HDR output.

Avoid color mixing issues on a single chip 

The single-chip design is prone to generating false colors and moire patterns at fine textures due to the mosaic filter; the three-chip architecture eliminates this defect from the source. The Macbeth 24-color card test shows a ΔE average value of <1.2, which is superior to the industry benchmark of ≤3 for film-level quality. The Rec.2020 coverage rate can reach 87%, and DCI-P3 can reach 99%. In medical scenarios, the color gradation is richer, infinitely approaching the real surgical scene.



Fully self-developed to overcome 4K transmission & heat dissipation issues 

Since this module employs three 4K sensors, its transmission bandwidth exceeds 26.5G; the higher the transmission rate, the greater the heat generation. By utilizing the design principles of heat dissipation fins and combining real-time thermal simulation with digital twin technology, the volume of the cooling system has been effectively reduced by 20%.  
The combination of multiple modular all-aluminum radiators, precisely fitted to PCB circuit board components, ensures stable heat dissipation even in harsh environments with vibration and dust, meeting strict safety standards such as UL94V0. Ultimately, this enables the three-chip camera to withstand the demanding high-temperature and high-pressure sterilization standards in medical applications.

Advantages Of Other 3-Chip 4K Cameras



A common perception in the medical industry:
Currently, cameras on the market claiming to have 4K triple-chip technology are all constructed using three 1080P CMOS sensors, and then output a resolution of 3840*2160 through backend interpolation. In principle, this still falls under the FULL HD 1080P resolution category.
Although its clarity meets the requirements for general surgical use, the loss of details becomes more pronounced during remote digital zoom or when displayed on a 55-inch large screen.

External communication control method
The menu can be controlled through a USB mouse, LCD touch screen, keypad, etc. A reserved HCOM external communication serial port allows for linkage with external devices such as light sources and pneumoperitoneum machines.
